Leadership Wisdom of Crowds

At a recent Sterling Bank Women's Business Initiative Luncheon, I asked attendees to submit their perspectives on leadership.  The fascinating list had few duplicate responses, but two characteristics did receive multiple mentions - listening and leading by example.

  1. I read an article this week that there is no one cookie cutter management style to lead employees today. In this day of virtual offices and technology dependency a good leader never underestimates the value of face to face meetings with individual employees to understand their strengths and maximize them.
